Privacy Policy

Effective date: 17 June 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how modeldocs (“we”, “our”, “us”), an EU entity based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, collects and processes personal data when you use modeldocs.eu and its subdomains (the “Site”).

We process data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) and applicable Dutch privacy law.

1. Data we collect and why

a. Waitlist and readiness-check emails

When you submit your work email via the waitlist form or the Annex IV Readiness Check tool, we collect your email address, your approximate readiness score (readiness-check only), and any optional field you fill in (e.g. “what do you build?”).

  • Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — managing early-access access and delivering the gap report you requested.
  • Retention: 24 months from last interaction, or until you ask us to delete your data.

b. Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-first, EU-hosted analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not share data with third parties. It records only aggregate page-view counts and custom funnel events (e.g. “readiness check started”). No personal data or IP addresses are stored.

  • Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) — understanding which features are used so we can improve the product.
  • No cookie consent banner is required for Plausible.

c. Server logs

Our hosting provider (AWS Amplify, eu-west-1 region) retains standard web server access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, HTTP status) for up to 90 days for security and debugging purposes.

  • Legal basis: Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2. Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share data only with the following sub-processors:

3. Your rights under GDPR

As a data subject you have the following rights, exercisable free of charge:

  • Access (Art. 15): request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification (Art. 16): ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (Art. 17): ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restriction (Art. 18): ask us to restrict processing while a dispute is resolved.
  • Data portability (Art. 20): receive your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection (Art. 21): object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Lodge a complaint: you may complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl) or the supervisory authority in your EU member state.

To exercise any right, email privacy@modeldocs.eu. We will respond within 30 days.
